When winter weather drops below zero, the council focuses road gritting services on its A and B roads*, while other roads are only treated during prolonged periods of cold weather, many of the minor roads will receive no treatment and people are urged not to assume that a road has been gritted.
*In the case of Sutton Mandeville, these are the A30 (primary) to the south and the C24 (secondary) Tisbury-Lower Chicksgrove-Teffont route.
