All residents of Sutton Mandeville, Sutton Row, Chicksgrove and Lower Chicksgrove are warmly invited to a
Celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations
on Sunday 5th June.
Commencing at 3pm there will be a tea and fizz party in Church Farm garden, followed by a commemorative tree and time capsule planting in the Cemetery (adjacent to the Allotments).
Thereafter will be a short Service of Celebration at 6pm in All Saints Church.
You are invited to attend any or all parts of the afternoon’s activities.
It is also hoped that we will have a beacon lit on top of the Sutton Mandeville Badges on the evening of Thursday 2nd June to link up with other beacons across the country.
In order to help with catering on 5th June it would be useful if you could contact Kate Clutterbuck - kateclutterbuck5@gmail.com - with details of family members attending, and what contributions you might make towards cakes/sandwiches (also alerting us about any food allergies).
We hope that as many members of the villages can attend - particularly new comers who have arrived during the past two years as this will be a great opportunity to meet your neighbours.

We are preparing a display to show how the villages have evolved over time including old and new photographs, maps and memories of the villages in years gone by. If you have anything you can contribute to this (memories/anecdotes/ old pictures/photographs /aerial photographs) please let us know.
Tree planting at Sutton Mandeville, Diamond Jubilee Day 2012
The man in the photo is Tom Keyon, Churchwarden at the time, who now lives in East Knoyle and arranged the tree planting. The girl standing next to him is unidentified, but she is understood to have planted the tree. The life size photo of the Queen purchased specially for the occasion was uncannily realistic. The group photo was taken just afterwards.
