Tisbury Station Works - Inquiry - Dates & Venue


Site Address: Land at Station Works, Station Road, Tisbury, SP3 6QU


Proposal: Outline planning application for redevelopment of the Station Works site to provide a mixed development of up to 86 dwellings, a care home of up to 40 bedspaces with associated medical facilities, new pedestrian and vehicular access and traffic management works, a safeguarded area for any future rail improvements, and public open space.


Date and Venue of Inquiry: The inquiry will open at 10:00am on Tuesday 21 February 2023 at Marlborough Room, Red Lion Hotel, 4 Milford St, Salisbury SP1 2AN.

The appeal will be attended by the local planning authority, the appellant, and a presiding inspector. An Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State will hold the inquiry, opening on the date shown above to decide the appeal. Members of the public may attend the Inquiry and at The Inspector's discretion, express their views.

Further to my previous letters in respect of the planning appeal at the above address, I am now writing to confirm the dates and venue of the inquiry.

The inquiry will open at 10:00am on Tuesday 21 February 2023 at Marlborough Room, Red Lion Hotel, 4 Milford St, Salisbury SP1 2AN with the facility to participate virtually. The Inquiry is scheduled to sit for 4 days initially 21st – 24th February. The Inquiry will then switch to a virtual format only for Monday 6th March, Wednesday 8th March and Monday 20th March.

An Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State will hold an Inquiry opening on the date shown above to decide the appeal.

Members of the public may attend the Inquiry and, at the Inspector’s discretion, express their views. If you, or anyone you know, has a disability and is concerned about facilities at the inquiry venue, you should contact the council to confirm that suitable provisions are in place.

Anyone wishing to attend the inquiry must make that interest known to Wiltshire Council as soon as possible prior to the inquiry date, by email: planningappeals@wiltshire.gov.uk Please confirm if you intend to attend in person or virtually.

It would also be helpful if you could confirm whether you want to take an active part in the discussions or anticipate attending just as an observer.
