THE BADGES FÊTE

A Celebratory Day of Community, Tradition and Summer Fun

Residents across South Wiltshire are invited to come together for a traditional village celebration taking place on Saturday 18th July 2026, from 12–4pm at East Farm, Fovant (SP3 5JD). With free entry, the event promises an afternoon packed with family entertainment, community spirit and local flavour.

Bringing together the neighbouring villages of Fovant, Compton Chamberlayne and Sutton Mandeville, the Badges Fête celebrates rural life with a vibrant programme of attractions, arena events, food, drink and live music.

Arena Highlights and Entertainment

This year’s arena programme features a lively schedule of crowd favourites, including: Dog Show, Tug of War, dog & family races and a fantastic raffle with great prizes. Families can also enjoy a wide range of attractions including a climbing wall, carousel, archery, unicorn rides, face painting, glitter bar, hair braiding, and traditional fête games and stalls.

Live music will be provided by Hickory Moon, performing in the Band Tent while the Community Exhibits Area will showcase local heritage and organisations including: Fovant Badges Society, Map of Australia Trust, Sutton Mandeville Heritage Trust, Fovant History Interest Group and Cranborne Chase Dark Skies.

Visitors can indulge in a variety of refreshments throughout the day from the traditional Tea Tent to the Bar and BBQ run by local pub The Greater Good. Rocky’s Pizza and Fat Sam’s Ice Cream is also available, alongside prosecco on tap from Bubble Bros!
