MINUTES of a short Parish Council Meeting following the Annual Parish Meeting

1. APOLOGIES: There were no apologies.
2. DECLARATIONS OF INTERESTS: No interests declared.
3. TRAFFIC AND SAFETY FOR ALL ROAD USERS:
Traffic and pedestrian safety on Chicksgrove Road: The Clerk had been advised by the Highways Engineer that traffic surveys would be required to assess traffic use before any safety improvement measures could be recommended. Any measures taken would aim to calm traffic, reduce speed and encourage better road position.
HGV Signage Glasses Lane and Sutton Hill at their junctions with A30: The Clerk had submitted requests for consideration by CATG.
4.COOPTION OF NEW COUNCILLORS:
The Chairman had noted that 2 residents had volunteered for cooption. The publicised closing date was 20th August and it was hoped that both new Councillors would be able to take their places at the next meeting of the Parish Council. The Chairman thanked both for their support and willing ness to work on behalf of the parish.
5.SIGNING OF CHEQUES: 3 cheques totalling £313.84 were signed.
6.DATE AND TIME OF NEXT MEETINGS:
The next meeting of the Parish Council would take place on27th September at 7.30pm in the Church with all precautions in place observed. Councillors would welcome all to the meeting. The meeting closed at 9.05pm.
